Lentils Exports From Australia Open On Easy Note
PANAMA - Apr 7/22 - SNS -- Australia's shipments of lentilss during February were well down, plunging compared to the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total exports during the month reached 99,286 metric tons (MT), down 26% from the previous month's total of 135,079. So far exports have totalled 327,270 MT, down from 340,530 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Bangladesh was the most important consumer for the month, taking 38,691 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination taking 19,500 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 14,915 MT.
