Lentil Exports From Canada Start With Soft Tone

PANAMA - Apr 5/22 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year on a weaker tendency, with lentil movement from Canada fell relative to the previous month in February, according to data from Statistics Canada.

Shipments totalled 33,486 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 30% from the 48,042 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 871,358 MT, versus 1,424,211 during the last marketing year.

Recent trade data reported United States was most important destination, taking 5,275 MT in the month. United Arab Emirates was the second most important consumer taking 4,936 MT, followed by Peru at 2,854 MT.
