Red Lentil Exports From Canada Open On Easy Tone

PANAMA - Apr 5/22 - SNS -- Exports of red lentils for Canada were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in February, trade data from Statistics Canada reports.

Movement for the month reached 4,919 metric tons (MT), down from 6,458 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 513,738, down 40% last year.

Recent movement statistics showed Sri Lanka was most important importer, receiving 710 MT in the month. United States was the second most important consumer receiving 648 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 644 MT.
