Second Lowest Oat Area Planned in U.S.

WASHINGTON - Mar 31/22 - SNS -- Oats area expected to be seeded to oats for the 2022 crop year is estimated at 2.55 million acres, down less than 1 percent from 2021, according to the USDA seeding intentions estimates.

If realized, the United States planted area will be the second lowest on record. Record low planted acreage is expected in Idaho, Michigan, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin.
