Lentil Exports From Turkey Extend Easy Trend

PANAMA - Mar 30/22 - SNS -- Exports of lentils for Turkey posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in December, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.

Shipments for the month reached 20,508 metric tons (MT), down from 32,574 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the calendar year to 289,437, down 29% last year.

The most recent trade data reported Egypt was top destination, buying 3,113 MT. Syria was the second most important buyer taking 2,199 MT, followed by Germany at 1,723 MT.
