General Firmness In Mustard

PANAMA - Mar 25/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets ended the week's trading on a generally firm note, despite a modest decline in prices offered to farmers for yellow.

Grower bid levels continue to reflect the short efforts by processors and exporters to keep product coming from farmers in line with their shipping requirements.

As a result, both oriental and brown advanced on the week by 5% and 4% respectively with brown reaching a new record high of CDN $2.10 per pound. The upper range for prices offered for yellow eased 1%, for a two cent decline from its record high of $1.85 per pound.
