Mustard Regains Momentum

PANAMA - Feb 25/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets finished the week's trading on a firm note, helped by short covering against short terms shipping commitments.

One result is spreads between high and low bids to farmers remain relatively wide, with buyers boosting prices when needed to attract grower selling.

Brown mustard recorded the biggest gains, with prices offered growers for No 1 grade product delivered western Canadian processing plants jumping 8% on the week to a record high CDN $2 per pound.
