Mustard Advanced Through Holidays
PANAMA - Jan 7/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets continued to advance through the holiday season on tight supplies relative to the needs of processors and exporters.
This saw both yellow and brown advance 4% on the week, while oriental was unchanged. The three classes remain at record high levels since 1988.
More interestingly, the spread between the highest and lowest posted bids continued to narrow during the week, suggesting virtually all market participants are struggling to secure product.
