Chickpea Exports From Russia Maintain Easy Trend

PANAMA - Dec 22/21 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year kept up a weaker tone, with chickpea movement from Russia posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in October, judging from trade data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Total movement throughout the month amounted to 21,988 metric tons (MT), down 39% from the previous month's total of 36,300. So far export sales have totalled 220,441 MT, down from 285,708 in the same period the last calendar year.

Current movement data revealed Turkey was largest importer, receiving 8,162 MT for the month. Pakistan was the second most important importer receiving 3,735 MT, followed by Egypt at 2,417 MT.
