PANAMA - Dec 3/21 - SNS -- Some North American mustard seed market participants were shocked by the final crop estimate from Statistics Canada.
It pegged this year's harvest at a record low 49,955 metric tons (MT), down from 98,800 last year and 30% under its initial estimate production would reach 70,900 MT.
Price performance so far this marketing year in grower markets in Canada clearly reflect this season's fundamental shortage of product.
