PANAMA - Dec 2/21 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year are keeping up their stronger tone, with lentils shipments for Australia jumped compared to the previous month in October, judging from available data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Export sales during the month totalled 53,141 metric tons (MT), up from 33,510 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the marketing year to 876,998, up 32% last year.
Egypt was the number one importer during the month, buying 18,269 MT. Sri Lanka was the second most important buyer taking 9,365 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 8,944 MT.
