Lentil Imports By Turkey Post Improved Result

PANAMA - Nov 18/21 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during September rocketed compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total imports during the month amounted to 25,419 metric tons (MT), up 77% from the previous month's total of 14,336. So far imports have amounted to 329,074 MT, down from 417,236 in the same period the last calendar year.

Canada was the biggest export origin for the month, shipping 10,898 MT. Russia was the second most important origin shipping 7,251 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 5,386 MT.
