Easing Bulk Movement, Grower Sales

PANAMA - Nov 8/21 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 52,600 metric tons (MT) of bulk lentils were loaded for export through reporting terminals and primary elevators between October 25 to October 31.

This lifted season to date bulk export movement to 318,500 MT, compared to the 414,300 MT reported at this time last season. Initial data for October suggests exports are down from September, likely influenced by expectations Australia will set the tone for markets once its crop has been harvested.

Breaking down export shipments by grade since the start of the season, the CGC said 294,600 MT of No 2 Canada and 11,000 MT of other grades were shipped from Vancouver. There were no reported export loadings for other ports.

Farmers delivered 15,700 MT of lentils to primary elevators during the week. Season to date deliveries now total 516,100 MT, compared to 966,100 during the same period last season.
