Chickpea Exports From Russia Continue Soft Tone
PANAMA - Nov 2/21 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas for Russia were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in August, available data from Federal Customs Service of Russia reports.
Movement totalled 7,301 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 49% from the 14,236 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 159,472 MT, versus 197,064 during the last calendar year.
In the month, Pakistan was the number one destination, taking 3,183 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer receiving 1,865 MT, followed by Israel at 683 MT.
