U.S. Bean Harvest 93% Complete

WASHINGTON - Oct 19/21 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean harvest in the United States is roughly 93% complete, just behind last year, but ahead of the recent five year average, judging from state level reports from the USDA.

Activity is now complete in Montana and Washington state, with Idaho, Minnesota and Wyoming in their final stages, with over 95% of the crop in the bin.

Minimal progress was made during the past week in North Dakota, where the harvest is now 91% complete, compared to 99% at this time last year, but still ahead of the recent average of 87% in the bin around the middle of October.
