Harvest Selling Offset Harvest Reaction

PANAMA - Oct 15/21 - SNS -- Harvest selling pressure became evident in dry edible bean markets during the past week as the week started with the U.S. harvest 89% complete.

By week's end, the dry edible bean price index for the United States declined 0.8 points to finish at 121.6 despite the need of some processors to cover in supply gaps from contracts with growers.

By contrast, the global pulse price index advanced 2.9 points on the week to close at 123.6 while the Canadian index jumped 3.5 points to finish at 139.1.
