Dry Beans Maintain Firm Tone

PANAMA - Oct 9/21 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained a relatively firm tone through the past week, with North American markets continuing to be influenced by below average yields in key growing areas.

By week's end, the dry edible bean price index for the United States gained 1.1 points on the week to finish at 122.4 for another record high result.

The global pulse price index managed modest gains, advancing 0.5 points on the week to close at 120.2 while the Canadian index rose 0.4 points to finish at 135.6.
