PANAMA - Oct 5/21 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year posted a weaker performance, with lentil movement for Canada were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in August, according to official trade data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments for the month reached 90,727 metric tons (MT), down from 158,288 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the marketing year to 90,727, up 5% last year.
The latest movement data showed India was number one destination, buying 14,460 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 9,990 MT, followed by Algeria at 9,968 MT.
