Australia's Lentils Exports Maintain Strong Performance
PANAMA - Oct 5/21 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year are keeping up their stronger trend, with lentils exports for Australia rocketed compared to the previous month in August, according to official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total movement for the month amounted to 119,440 metric tons (MT), up 93% from the previous month's total of 61,892. So far exports have amounted to 796,239 MT, up from 604,690 during the previous marketing year.
In the month, India was the top importer, taking 61,415 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer receiving 24,271 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 22,758 MT.
