Russia's Chickpea Exports Extend Easy Trend
PANAMA - Sep 28/21 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas from Russia sank relative to the previous month in July, the most recent data from Federal Customs Service of Russia shows.
Shipments reached 14,034 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 61% from the 35,827 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 151,969 MT, versus 182,236 in the same period the previous calendar year.
The latest movement data showed Pakistan was largest importer, taking 5,069 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer taking 4,157 MT, followed by Jordan at 2,041 MT.
