Conflicting North American Realities

PANAMA - Sep 24/21 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week on a mixed note, reflecting conflicting realities in Canada and the United States.

With this year's harvest essentially complete, the attention of markets has turned from worrying about yields to finding buyers for what has been produced.

By contrast, processors in the United States are facing the prospect of a fundamental shortage of peas relative to prospective export and domestic demand.
