Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Post Soft Month
PANAMA - Sep 20/21 - SNS -- Imports of confection sunflowers by Spain posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in July, official trade data from Eurostat shows.
Imports totalled 15,824 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 29% from the 22,379 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 184,534 MT, compared to 181,377 in the same period the last calendar year.
The biggest export origin throughout the month was France, selling 10,819 MT. China was the second most important exporter selling 2,641 MT, followed by United States at 1,046 MT.
