Chickpeas Abound With News
PANAMA - Sep 10/21 - SNS -- International kabuli chickpea markets were little changed during the past week in response to news about the fundamental supply situation and rumored changes in import duties in India and actual changes in Turkey.
By contrast, desi chickpea markets eased during the week in response to Australia's production update and some doubts about whether India would in fact eliminate import duties on chickpeas.
By contrast, kabuli chickpea markets found some support from Turkey's decision to reduce import duties on chickpeas and lentils to zero until the end of the calendar year.
