New Record High Canaryseed Prices
PANAMA - Sep 10/21 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, with Canadian canaryseed reaching new record highs in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
White proso millet seed markets were unchanged on the week, maintaining a dramatic discount to canaryseed.
However, there are doubts about how much substitution may be possible as prices during the past season did not favor increased use of canaryseed at the expense of millet.
