Mustard Maintains Firm Tone
PANAMA - Aug 20/21 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, with more companies raising bids to attract grower selling.
This year's harvest is now underway in Saskatchewan, with 28% in the bin as of August 16, compared to 14% last year and the recent five year average of 10.4%.
Indications from processors and growers are that yields are unusually variable, making it difficult to reach firm conclusions about average yields.
