Canada's Field Pea Exports Maintain Weak Tendency
PANAMA - Aug 5/21 - SNS -- Exports of field peas from Canada sank compared to the previous month in June, official trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Total shipments in the month amounted to 143,366 metric tons (MT), down 60% from the previous month's total of 361,434. So far shipments have amounted to 3,510,823 MT, down from 3,541,044 in the same period the previous marketing year.
For the month, Bangladesh was the biggest buyer, buying 60,151 MT. China was the second most important consumer buying 42,169 MT, followed by United States at 12,124 MT.
