Firm Tone Holds in Beans

PANAMA - Jul 31/21 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week with fears about the production potential in North American offsetting limited trading activity.

This was reflected in the dry edible bean price index for the United States, which advanced 1.3 points on the week to finish at 102.6, its highest level since the summer of 2013.

At the same time, the global pulse price index gained 2.1 points to close at 95.8 while the Canadian index jumped 3.5 points to finish at 98.7 points.
