Field Pea Exports From Canada Sustain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Jun 12/21 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year are maintaining a stronger tone, with field pea shipments for Canada improved relative to the previous month in April, judging from trade statistics from Statistics Canada.
Total movement in the month amounted to 279,969 metric tons (MT), up 2% from the previous month's total of 274,814. So far export sales have totalled 3,007,167 MT, up from 2,839,092 during the last marketing year.
Current trade statistics showed China was biggest consumer, taking 224,320 MT in the month. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer receiving 12,187 MT, followed by United States at 11,883 MT.
