Canary Bids Set New Decile Ten
PANAMA - May 21/21 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a modestly firmer note, helped by advances in canaryseed and oil type sunflower.
The most significant strength was in canaryseed, with grower bids in Canada advancing another cent per pound to CDN 36 cents per pound for farmers dressed product delivered western Canada processing plants;
This is the highest grower bid level seen since 2007, though lagging the record high grower bid of CDN 42 cents per pound set in February and March of 1994.
