Little Change in Mustard

PANAMA - May 14/21 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were little changed in seasonally light trading activity during the past week.

New crop prices offered to farmers in Canada remain discounted to spot markets, but the spreads are at levels which suggest processors and exporters lack confidence about Canada's ability to meet prospective demand in the 2021-22 marketing year.

The average new crop bid for No 1 Canada yellow is only discounted CDN 1.17 cents per pound to the average spot bid; while No 1 brown is discounted 0.5 cents per pound and oriental is at the same level.
