Lentil Exports From Canada Open On Strong Note
PANAMA - May 4/21 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils for Canada jumped versus the previous month in March, data from Statistics Canada shows.
Total exports in the month reached 170,896 metric tons (MT), up 48% from the previous month's total of 115,845. So far exports have reached 1,593,317 MT, up from 1,537,573 during the previous marketing year.
United Arab Emirates was the number one importer, taking 53,038 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 46,252 MT, followed by Pakistan at 12,637 MT.
