PANAMA - May 4/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of yellow peas for Canada eased compared to the previous month in March, official data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Total export sales during the month amounted to 204,759 metric tons (MT), down 19% from the previous month's total of 253,762. So far movement has reached 2,293,232 MT, up from 2,020,814 in the same period the previous marketing year.
China was the top importer, taking 157,933 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer taking 42,869 MT, followed by United States at 1,022 MT.
