Broadbean Exports From Australia Start On Strong Note
PANAMA - May 4/21 - SNS -- Shipments of broadbeans from Australia were up sharply, soaring versus the previous month in March, official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics shows.
Total export sales throughout the month amounted to 99,255 metric tons (MT), up 98% from the previous month's total of 50,122. So far shipments have totalled 372,106 MT, up from 205,702 during the previous marketing year.
The latest trade data showed Egypt was top destination, receiving 84,840 MT. Saudi Arabia was the second most important importer receiving 4,819 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 2,142 MT.
