PANAMA - May 1/21 - SNS -- International field pea markets were unaffected by the seeding intentions for Canada, which suggested area could slip slightly more than expected.
Farmers there say they plan to seed 3.839 million acres of all classes of field peas, down from 3.255 million last year. Average yields would see production drop from 4.595 to 3.965 million metric tons (MT).
Canada is again expected to be effectively sold out of peas by the close of the current marketing year, suggesting available supplies could sink from 4.927 to 4.332 million MT-
