Mustard Market Holds Tone

PANAMA - Apr 23/21 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their form tone through the past week, with spot markets maintaining a modest premium to new crop.

The limited spread between current and deferred shipping positions provides buyers with no incentive to delay covering short term needs in hopes of lower prices.

However, markets are keen to see the April 27 seeding intentions report for Canada. Area is expected to increase, but if the change is lower or much higher than currently expected it could have an impact on new crop and possibly spot market pricing.
