Lentil Exports From Canada Open On Strong Note
PANAMA - Apr 7/21 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils for Canada rose slightly relative to the previous month in February, available data from Statistics Canada shows.
Total exports during the month reached 115,845 metric tons (MT), up 8% from the previous month's total of 106,797. So far movement has totalled 1,422,421 MT, up from 1,269,266 during the previous marketing year.
The biggest importer for the month was Turkey, buying 32,695 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer receiving 22,509 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 6,972 MT.
