PANAMA - Apr 1/21 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year on a a firmer tendency, with lentils export shipments from Australia made major advances, advancing relative to the previous month in February, according to available statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Shipments reached 117,375 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 22% from the 96,196 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 343,255 MT, versus 268,829 during the previous marketing year.
The largest consumer throughout the month was Bangladesh, buying 56,573 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 22,092 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 12,940 MT.
