Russia's Chickpea Exports Open On Easy Tendency

PANAMA - Mar 31/21 - SNS -- Russia's shipments of chickpeas in January posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, according to data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Movement during the first month of the calendar year totalled 4,574 metric tons (MT), down 40% from 7,674 MT the previous month. The data showed movement was down 84% from the 28,284 MT recorded during the same month last year.

Pakistan was the top consumer during the month, receiving 2,314 MT. Jordan was the second most important importer taking 997 MT, followed by Turkey at 460 MT.
