Mustard Largely Unchanged on Week

PANAMA - Mar 12/21 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged during the past week as available supplies from growers kept pace with the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Spreads between spot and new crop mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged on the week, with processors and exporters concerned competition for land use could result in another year of tight supplies.

As was the case last week, both old and new crop bids for No 1 grade oriental mustard ranged, but the average new crop bid for No 1 grade product slipped from a CDN 1.25 to 0.75 cent per pound premium to the average spot bid.
