Field Pea Exports From Russia Sustain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Mar 2/21 - SNS -- Russia's exports of field peas in December were up sharply, jumping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Exports during the month reached 72,245 metric tons (MT), up from 32,371 MT the prior month. This lifted exports so far during the calendar year to 713,968, up 20% last year.
The most recent trade data reported Spain was top destination, taking 20,408 MT. Italy was the second most important importer receiving 15,568 MT, followed by Turkey at 11,032 MT.
