PANAMA - Feb 12/21 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week on a firm note, helping by solid ongoing movement into export markets and seasonally lighter grower participation in the northern hemisphere.
Canadian lentil shipments are on pace to nearly match shipments in 2019-20 despite expectations movement to India will be down.
However, the fact land in lentils in India failed to meet targets set by the government has created some optimism the country will again be forced to slash import duties on lentils in order to satisfy domestic needs.
