Russia's Chickpea Exports Continue Soft Trend

PANAMA - Feb 8/21 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year extended their softer tone, with chickpea shipments from Russia were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in November, judging from available statistics from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Export sales reached 21,515 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 58% from the 50,700 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 328,438 MT, versus 409,556 in the same period the last calendar year.

The most recent movement data showed India was number one destination, buying 13,869 MT. Turkey was the second most important buyer taking 3,054 MT, followed by Pakistan at 2,702 MT.
