Demand Shifting In Beans

PANAMA - Feb 5/21 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets posted a mixed finish during the past week, with shifting demand for the various classes impacting prices in both grower and inter dealer markets.

This was reflected in the dry edible bean price index for the United States, which was inched down 0.2 points on the week at 85.5.

By contrast, the global pulse price index advanced 1.8 points on the week to close at 84.6, while the Canadian index was jumped 1.4 points to close at 83.6 points, its highest level since September of 2017.
