Red Lentil Exports From Canada Record Easy Performance
PANAMA - Jan 8/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of red lentils for Canada were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in November, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales for the month totalled 140,429 metric tons (MT), down from 233,833 MT the previous month. This boosted shipments so far during the marketing year to 648,989, up 68% last year.
The most recent trade data showed India was number one consumer, taking 76,915 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination taking 30,226 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 8,412 MT.
