Canada's Green Lentil Exports Record Soft Performance
PANAMA - Jan 8/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of green lentils for Canada posted significant declines, slumping versus the previous month in November, data from Statistics Canada shows.
Export sales for the month reached 48,461 metric tons (MT), down from 62,804 MT the previous month. This boosted movement so far during the marketing year to 188,076, up 47% last year.
The most recent trade statistics reported India was largest importer, buying 16,087 MT. Morocco was the second most important buyer taking 5,921 MT, followed by Algeria at 4,105 MT.
