Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Record Strong Performance
PANAMA - Dec 16/20 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of sunflower seeds during October rocketed versus the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports totalled 44,393 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 242% from the 12,976 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 962,723 MT, compared to 1,039,174 during the previous calendar year.
For the month, Russia was the top exporter, supplying 22,015 MT. Romania was the second most important origin selling 12,886 MT, followed by Yugoslavia at 6,087 MT.
