PANAMA - Dec 3/20 - SNS -- Export shipments of chickpeas from Australia leapt compared to the previous month in October, available data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Exports for the month totalled 42,278 metric tons (MT), up from 25,530 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 351,227, down 5% last year.
The latest trade statistics reported Bangladesh was most important consumer, taking 15,977 MT. Pakistan was the second most important destination buying 8,370 MT, followed by Nepal at 5,936 MT.
