Russia's Sunflower Seed Exports Continue Strong Tone

PANAMA - Nov 24/20 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year continued their firmer performance, with sunflower seed exports from Russia were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in August, judging from the most recent statistics from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Shipments for the month reached 1,891 metric tons (MT), up from 1,417 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the calendar year to 844,789, up 169% last year.

The most important consumer during the month was Belarus, taking 785 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important importer buying 756 MT, followed by Armenia at 191 MT.
