Chickpea Exports From Russia Maintain Weak Trend

PANAMA - Nov 24/20 - SNS -- Russia's export shipments of chickpeas in August were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month, according to data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Exports totalled 20,492 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 15% from the 24,194 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 234,004 MT, compared to 238,594 during the last calendar year.

During the month, Pakistan was the biggest consumer, taking 12,441 MT. Other was the second most important destination buying 5,856 MT, followed by India at 648 MT.
