Turkey's Lentil Exports Maintain Firm Tone

PANAMA - Nov 24/20 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Turkey posted decent increases, moving compared to the previous month in September, the most recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.

Total shipments in the month reached 25,055 metric tons (MT), up 9% from the previous month's total of 23,050. So far exports have amounted to 316,740 MT, up from 179,253 during the previous calendar year.

Recent trade data revealed Sudan was most important consumer, buying 4,641 MT in the month. Syria was the second most important importer taking 2,809 MT, followed by Algeria at 2,542 MT.
